South Korean company, Shints Garment, recently completed the construction of 2,700 residential houses on the Bole Lemi Industrial Park’s grounds for a total cost of about $10 million.
Sandokan Debebe, CEO of Industrial Parks Development Corporation said the residential houses at the industrial park, which are the first of their kind in Ethiopia, will go a long way toward solving the employees’ housing problem.
In similar communications, Kubik, an environmental technology company based in the United States that produces low-cost, low-carbon building materials from plastic waste, signed a deal with IPDC on yesterday to begin production in Adama Industrial Park.
EPA wrote that the manufacturing industry is expected to grow by 20.6 percent by 2030 and the government plans to create 1.3 million jobs per year.
