Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (22 April 2022): The top 5 teams in the Agro-Industry Business Idea Competition organized by GIZ were each awarded ETB 230,000 for their innovative ideas back in March of this year.
Fast forward a month after that, Adama Science & Technology University organized an event on April 16th to honour the winners and to inspire other students in the university. Team BammGo, a green start-up company that manufactures bamboo bicycles, was awarded an 80,000-birr prize. The co-founder and CEO of this company who went to this Adama University, Abel Mulugeta, released a LinkedIn post expressing his gratitude towards his mentors and the officials of the university.
