With a budget of over 1.15 billion birr and a space of 19,000 square meters, the Abrehot Library is now one of the top ten libraries in Africa.


It has a four-store design with a 1.5-kilometer length on the inside. It has a capacity of 1.4 million bookshelves, more than 240,000 paper-free books, and 300,000 research papers. It also provides space for nursing mothers and children to read and braille books for visually impaired people. It comes with a modern cafeteria, meeting halls, eight book shops, an amphitheater, playground, and parking space that can take 115 cars at a time.
