African Insurance reported a profit after tax of about Birr 51 million in the 2020/21 financial year, an increase of more than Birr 5 million over the previous year. This fiscal year total comprehensive income was Birr 51.9 million, up from Birr 50.4 million in the previous financial year.
The company’s gross profit for the reported year was Birr 59.4 million, up from 58 million a year ago. The insurance firm, which is one of the strongest insurers, had a total asset of 1.44 billion birr as of June 30, 2021, and total premium earned was about 29 million birr, or 5%, greater than the same period previous year.
