Digital technology has been identified as the key driver of competitiveness and change in Ethiopia’s tourism sector.
Goal: Developing digital tools and platforms for the Ethiopian tourism sector under the 3 categories identified by the organizers.
Hackathon Date: May 12 – 13, 2022
The Prime Minister’s Office, in collaboration Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Innovation and Technology, IFC, iceaddis and Guzo Technologies seek to utilize the creative potential of Ethiopian software developers and designers in order to develop the tourism sector products (tools, web, and apps) that create a sustainable solution in the sector.
iceaddis is the operational partner in this endeavor and has hence taken the lead in organizing and hosting the Digital Disruption in Tourism (DDiT) hackathon.
