Egypt exported to Ethiopia amounted US$87.75 Million and imported US$7.89 Million goods mainly coffee, tea, mate, spices, oil seed, fruits, grain, and seed during 2020 according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade.
Egypt primarily exports essential oils, perfumes, cosmetics, toiletries, mineral, fuels, oils and distillation products to Ethiopia.
Trade exchange between Egypt and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) comprising 21 countries hit $3 billion in 2020, representing 60 percent of total trade between Egypt and the African continent, which is estimated at $5 billion, according to the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center on Sunday – written by Egypt Today.
The Egypt government said exports to COMESA members #Libya, #Kenya, #Sudan, #Ethiopia and #Tunisia reached $2.3 billion.
