Lawrence Freeman a Political-Economic Analyst for Africa said on the Special Session on Africa, at the ICG 16 in Qingdao, China, on October 25, 2021, entitled: “How China Is Empowering Africa’s Self Development.” That expansion of vital categories of infrastructure, such as railroads and electricity is the most essential task for African nations today.
The physical economist argued in the conference that the West, dominated by the disease known as “geo-politics” is spreading false propaganda against China’s investment in Africa. Further discussed their anti-China propaganda regarding so called “debt-trap” diplomacy.
Trade between China and Africa almost doubled between 2020 and 2021, and over the last 20 years trade between China and the region has increased twenty-fold, data showed. According to China’s Ministry of Commerce, trade between China and Africa increased by 40.5 percent year-on-year in the first seven months of 2021 and was valued at a record high of USD 139.1 billion.
