Embily USA, a subsidiary of Embily – a European fintech firm – has entered Visa’s Fintech Fast Track program. The refillable debit card from Embily, which can be topped up with bitcoin and used to pay for products and services anywhere over the world, will be available in the United States next year.
Customers in the United States will be able to purchase Embily as a physical or digital prepaid card that may be loaded with bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. After that, the monies are liquidated through a third-party exchange and are ready to be spent anywhere Visa is accepted, both online and offline. Users can also use their debit card to withdraw cash from any ATM.
