The Daguru-Galamo Asphalt Road Project, which is part of the Ethiopia-Djbiouti Transport Corridor, has begun construction.

The Daguru-Galamo asphalt road, which is part of the Ethiopia-Djibouti transport corridor, was officially opened in the presence of high-ranking Djiboutian authorities and Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Djibouti.

The road, which will be built as part of a partnership between the governments of Djibouti and Saudi Arabia, is expected to improve transportation and logistics in the Ethiopia-Djibouti import-export corridor.

The Saudi Fund for Development will fund the road project, which will be built by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).

The launching event was attended by the Prime Minister of Djibouti, Abdulkadir Kamil Hamad, the transport minister, Hassen Humud Ibrahim, the Saudi Ambassador to Djibouti, and the Ethiopian Ambassador to Djibouti, Birhanu Tsegaye.
