The “Visit Ethiopia” mobile app is now accessible on the play store, offering a convenient way for tourists to explore and experience Ethiopia’s cultural and natural attractions. The app was launched in late December 2022 by the Ethiopian Ministry of Tourism as part of its efforts to enhance the country’s tourism sector.
Visit Ethiopia allows users to easily access and explore various tourist destinations across Ethiopia, including historic landmarks, national parks, and museums. It provides useful information about each location, such as opening hours, ticket prices, and contact details.
One of the unique features of the “Visit Ethiopia” app is that visitors can share their travel experiences and earn rewards, which can be redeemed for future trips. This encourages tourists to explore more of Ethiopia and promote its tourism industry.
The launch of “Visit Ethiopia” is part of the Ethiopian Ministry of Tourism’s broader efforts to boost the country’s tourism sector. Alongside the app, the ministry has also launched other initiatives, such as the Tourist Smart Card and the Guzo savings account, aimed at making it easier for visitors to save for future tours and pay for their travel expenses.
