During a performance dialogue session with Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) yesterday, Educational Materials Production and Distribution Enterprise (EMPD) reported a 239% increase in profit compared to the same period last year.

EMPD also exceeded targets for revenue from in-house manufactured furniture sales and furniture production. In strategizing for the second half of the fiscal year, EMPD and EIH agreed to focus on furniture production and book printing, which constitutes 88% of the Enterprise’s revenue. EMPD plans to collaborate with EIH on investment projects around stationary materials and tablet manufacturing, among other potential projects.

This performance dialogue highlights the importance of diversification and innovation to remain competitive in the market and increase revenue.
