An additional budget of 5 billion birr has been prepared for the rehabilitation of war-affected people, according to Finance Minister Ahmed Shide. In addition to the initial budget allocated by the government, significant financial support is expected from development partners, especially the World Bank, he said, adding that the rehabilitation program is government-led, coordinated, programmatic, accountable, and sustainable.
An initial proposal by the Ministry of Finance for a survey to assess the damage caused by the war and the conflict has been submitted to the members of the Executive Committee of the Rehabilitation Secretariat.
