Bunna Bank, which has over 16 thousand stockholders, made a profit before taxes of Birr 937 million in the fiscal year that ended in July 2021. Last fiscal year, the bank mobilized Birr 6.58 billion more deposits (47.5 percent greater), totaling Birr 20.4 billion, while its paid-up capital increased by Birr 706.2 million to Birr 3.1 billion.
The bank received $164 million in foreign currency within the same period. With 285 branches and approximately 1.4 million customers, the bank is one of the largest in the country. Buna Bank have also donated Birr 25 million for development and aid purposes.
