In a Facebook post, the Ministry of Revenue said that the government collected 26.9 billion birr in revenue in May.
According to Revenue Minister Lake Ayalew, revenue received increased by 8.9 billion birr, or 28.4%, compared to the same period last fiscal year.
Domestic tax revenue amounted to 13 billion 663 million 791 thousand 877 birr, while export tax revenue amounted to 13 billion 238 million 440 thousand 290 birr.
Revenue grew by 50.3 billion birr this year compared to the previous budget year. Lake Ayalew, Revenue Minister, stated.
