ENA new agency reports Ethiopia has been elected to the World Food Program’s (WFP) Executive Board, according to Ethiopia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN).
“We look forward to contributing to the work of the world’s largest humanitarian organization in its efforts to support countries change lives in difficult circumstances all around the world, including Ethiopia,” the Permanent Mission noted.
WFP’s top governing authority is the Executive Board. The Board, which is made up of 36 members of the United Nations or the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), offers intergovernmental assistance, policy direction, and oversight of WFP’s operations.
