The Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association (EHPEA) revealed that Ethiopia’s six-month horticulture earnings grew by 20% to $286 million, compared to last year’s export performance.
EHPEA said that the $286 million came from the export of cut flowers, vegetables and herbs, and fruits. Cut flower exports brought in $246.4 million, vegetables and herbs brought in $31.09 million, and fruits brought in $9.04 million. The result is a 12% increase over the period’s horticulture export profits target of $269.01. Furthermore, compared to the previous year’s six-month earnings of $239.6 million, it has increased by 20%.
