Ethiopia signed modernization deals worth 29.17 million dollars with Chinese firms, according to Ethiopian state media source Ethiopia Press Agency (EPA).

“The Addis Ababa municipal administration will purchase 110 buses from China’s leading bus manufacturer, Yutong, in an eight-month period under the initial agreement worth 15 million US dollars,” according to the EPA. “The second agreement was inked between the Addis Ababa municipal administration and Hisense TransTech Co., Ltd., for a 14.17 million US dollar project to revamp the city’s public bus transportation system with innovative digital information devices.”
