At the Farnborough Air Show, Ethiopian Airlines and Boeing signed a contract for the 787 Landing Gear Exchange Program. The new contract covers 19 787-8 landing gear exchanges.
Boeing believes that Ethiopian Airlines will benefit from consistent price, reduced inventory investment, and quick access to Boeing’s global inventory through this new service, which will complement the existing 787 and 777 parts support programs.
Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew said, “We are thrilled to establish an agreement with Boeing for the repair and exchange service of Boeing 787 landing gears. “This landing gear exchange is part of our long-term strategic engagement between Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines, which dates back to the introduction of the 787 platform by Ethiopian Airlines ten years ago this year.
