While the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris got under way in chilly (2 °C) yet sunny conditions, “I’m really pleased with this win, although I felt cold for most of the race, especially in the first 10 kilometres. It wasn’t easy, but my training in Ethiopia paid off’’ said Deso Gelmisa after winning the marathon in 2:05:07.
As the competition heated up, Deso Gelmisa used a burst of speed to win in 2:05:07, three seconds faster than Seifu Tura, his rival in the Avenue Foch sprint.
