Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise submitted the bid price to the of Sugar Corporation in a sealed envelope on Monday afternoon, according to Capital. The main reason for not submitting a price index was that it had received a price offer from the bidding companies when it was supposed to be submitted by the corporation.
The Ethiopian Sugar Corporation’s 200,000 metric tons international bid is expected to open on Thursday, February 10, but the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise has not submitted its freight price. Accordingly, the bid will be opened on February 16.
It is said that this initiative will enable the corporation to open its bid on the scheduled date. It is said that the Sugar Corporation can identify the winning companies based on the detailed shipping costs provided to it directly.
