Arifpay, Ethiopia’s first Payment System Operator (PSO) licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia, has been shortlisted for the Fintech Innovation of the Year Award at the 2023 East Africa Com Awards.

According to the company’s website, Arifpay boasts a range of innovative payment solutions for MSME merchants, banks, and customers, including payment options for smartphones, POS and QR payment terminals, as well as payment gateway solutions such as utility bills, airtime top-up, eCommerce, and school fee processing.

The Fintech Innovation of the Year Award at the 2023 East Africa Com Awards is a highly coveted award that recognizes companies or individuals who have demonstrated exceptional innovation, impact, and customer satisfaction in the fintech space in East Africa.

The award acknowledges the significant bearing that technology has on the financial services sector and seeks to celebrate the individuals and companies that have developed and implemented new and innovative financial solutions. The winners are selected through a combination of public voting and the expert opinion of a judging panel made up of industry experts and thought leaders.

Public voting (access here) for the finalists will close on Friday 14 April, and the winners will be announced on 25 April during an exclusive ceremony as part of East Africa Com’s Welcome Drinks Reception.
