Safaricom Ethiopia, when operational in March, will use the same ’07’ mobile number prefix that it uses in Kenya. It is Ethiopia’s second mobile network prefix, following the ’09’ that is used by state-owned Ethio Telecom.
Safaricom Ethiopia is getting closer to launching, with recruitment taking place ahead of time and plans to secure an office building in Addis Ababa by the beginning of next year.
