On January 24, 2023, the CEO of the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESLSE), Megersa Roba, inaugurated the first phase of the ESLSE Data Center. The project was reported to have a cost of 150 million birr for its construction.
During the inauguration ceremony, ESLSE recognized and thanked the individuals who contributed to the successful completion of the first phase of the project, awarding prizes and certificates of recognition to those who worked diligently to make it a reality.
In addition to the data center inauguration, ESLSE also announced recent successes in their shipping and logistics operations. The company confirmed that nearly 400,000 metric tons of fertilizer had reached the port of Djibouti within a month. The MV GREAT COMFORT, the 6th vessel carrying fertilizer, arrived in Djibouti on January 26th, with a shipment of 50,000 metric tons of Urea fertilizer. Of the total cargo that has arrived in Djibouti, 200,000 metric tons of fertilizer has been transported and delivered to over a hundred destinations in Ethiopia, according to ESLSE.
