Ethiopian Consul General Ambassador Aklilu Kebede met with Global Islamic Financial Services (GIFS) Managing Director Mr. Ajmal Ayub and Operation Manager Mario Malik to examine potential for developing a public-private partnership (PPP) in equity investment in Ethiopia, today, June 17.
In addition to its newly opened office in Dubai, Global Islamic Financial Services has operations in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and other African countries. According to the article, the group is known for assisting Muslim-majority countries in their development efforts, with Ethiopia being a focal country.
Before the start of the pre-investment visits, Ambassador Aklilu has agreed to bring Global Islamic Financial Services’ project proposals to the attention of relevant Ethiopian authorities.
