The 1.5 billion Birr Haile Grand Addis Ababa Hotel is now open for visitors, with full service set to begin in October of this year.

Many people around the world regard Haile Gebrselassie as an icon of hard work, and he is famous for saying “it is Possible!”, is an Ethiopian former long-distance track and road runner who transfers his successful track record into business endeavors.

Haile, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time World Championships over 10,000m champion, has made Haile Hotels & Resorts a reality and is continuing to boost Ethiopia’s and East Africa’s hospitality industry.

In an interview with Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC), he said his running carrier was inspired by legendary athletes like Abebe Bikila and Mirutse Yifter, and the inspiration for his hotel business was Bekele Molla – among the pioneers in the hotel industry in Ethiopia. The Haile Grand Addis Hotels opening will be the eighth fully operational Haile hotel chains property.

By 2025, Haile Hotel and Resort aims to be the leading indigenous hotel chain developer and operator in East Africa.

“The upcoming projects in Wolaita Sodo, Konso, Debre Birhan, and other hotel constructions and deals in the coming years will help us achieve our goal of becoming the best local chain brand hotel,” Haile said in a statement.

All Haile Hotel and Resorts properties provide accommodation with various room types and panoramic views, restaurants that serve delicious international and local cuisines, health club facilities that are wellness and fitness-oriented, multi-purpose halls for various occasions, various relaxing areas, and facilities with exemplary service.
