Haile Hotels and Resorts Group, a leading player in the hotel and investment sector for the past 12 years, has announced the opening of its eighth hotel, the Haile Grand Addis Ababa. The hotel, located in the capital city of Ethiopia, was unveiled at the beginning of October.
The Haile Grand Addis Ababa will feature 157 bedrooms, bars and restaurants, a cultural food hall, and 8 meeting halls. It will also have a parking capacity of 200 vehicles. Major athlete Haile G/Salase announced at the official inauguration ceremony that the company’s next move is to inaugurate a resort in Sodo city in August of this year, before expanding its branches to other countries.
The hotel is expected to provide a significant boost to the local economy, with 450 permanent and temporary jobs created for the Haile Grand Addis Ababa. 120 new graduates have received training and started working in the company, providing them with valuable skills and experience.
According to the company, the cost of construction equipment was the biggest obstacle during the building process, as well as the topography of the site and man-made collisions experienced at the national level. Despite these challenges, the hotel was completed with an area of 15,000 square meters and at a cost of more than 2.5 billion birr.
Overall, the opening of the Haile Grand Addis Ababa is a major milestone for Haile Hotels and Resorts Group and a positive development for Ethiopia’s tourism industry. The hotel is expected to attract a significant number of tourists and provide employment and training opportunities for local residents.
