Family businesses takes the lion share from the key contribution the private sector plays on the Ethiopian economy. For this reason, ensuring the continuity of local family businesses means building, directly or indirectly, the economy of the country. Most global companies that are based in the Western world and whose products/services have become household names today, are family – owned businesses.

When we come back to our country, Ethiopia, family businesses are not growing as much as they could, due to a variety of challenges. Among these challenges, the main ones are; access to finance, issues on leadership, ensuring competitiveness, and well thought strategy for the next generation of the family to take over and continue the business.

To collaboratively solve the above-mentioned challenges, a home-grown initiative called, Ethiopian Family Business Forum, is established. The first forum will be held on March 10, 2023, at the Sheraton Addis Hotel, Addis Ababa, from 1:30 P.M – 5:30 P.M where Ethiopian family businesses and stakeholders will meet.

We invite you to be part of this forum;

  • If you own and run a family business or
  • If you are a 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation running a family business which has been passed down through generations, and
  • If you want to ensure the growth and sustainability of the business, please pre-register at www.efbforum.com.

The forum is invitation only. If you are selected to participate, you will receive a confirmation email from the organizing team.
