Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (16 May 2022)-During a video conference hosted by the African Union Commission, African leaders discussed methods to improve access to vaccines developed in Africa on the worldwide market, according to Fana.
The main topic of discussion was how to help made-in-Africa vaccines access the global distribution network and market. The leaders also emphasized the importance of finding African solutions to the socio-economic issues posed by the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
According to Fana, the president of Ethiopia’s Federal Democratic Republic, Sahle-Work Zewde, is among the chevaliers. The gathering was limited to leaders of African countries capable of producing COVID 19 vaccines. The conference was also attended by the President of France and the President of the European Union as guests.
