The deadline for banks to consolidate their customer information expires this week, following the directive of the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE). Customers who do not provide information prior will not be able to access their account.
Customers are approached by banks to provide the necessary information in accordance with the directive, but it is said that a large number of people do not comply. Banks’ deadline for data collection and completion is February 27, 2022.
