The travel ban was put in place in December as an effort to prevent people infected with coronavirus from entering the country.

Israel’s Health Ministry has recommended ending travel restrictions to and from Ethiopia, USA, UK and the five other countries which include the UAE, Tanzania, Mexico, Switzerland and Turkey.

The new rules are in effect from midnight on Thursday, subject to the expected approval of the cabinet and the Knesset Law Committee, based on Bloomberg. And, further said, the change was recommended because community transmission now accounts for more than 95 per cent of the newly infected as Israel’s daily caseload soars.
