The Government Procurement and Property Administration prepared a proclamation that allows for the scrap metal disposal of junk automobiles parked at government buildings.
In April 2021, the Authority performed a four-day survey in various State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) and discovered a substantial level of wastage in junk vehicles.
The survey, which included certain government buildings, SOEs, and abandoned street cars, found that four different types of vehicles were being squandered, totaling 9.6 million birr. With some SOEs included in the survey, the survey discovered that there are other sorts of metals worth 79.6 million birr that can also be disposed of as scrap.
