Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) said Tuesday it plans to establish One-Stop Border Posts (OSBPs) at the common land borders to spur regional trade with Ethiopia and Somalia once construction of key road project is completed.
The Horn of Africa region comprising Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia is growing rapidly with the population expected to reach 250 million by 2030, KRA said.
KRA said the initiative offers opportunities to transform the economies of the region through creating an enabling environment for developing their existing potential.
