AVTOVAZ, the local manufacturer of LADA vehicles has signed an agreement with Bazra, a local motor manufacturing company, to set up a LADA car assembly plant in Ethiopia. This agreement was signed on August 31, 2021, and the assembly will take place in Kombolcha.
The assembly line will start to assemble 5000 vehicles annually, with a plan to reach 10,000 units in 5 years. Bazra motors is also in preparation to agree to assemble GAZ minibuses and KAMAZ buses and trucks in the near future.
