Takele Uma, Ethiopia’s Minister of Mines, met and spoke with senior management of Leica Geosystems, a company headquartered in Israel that is involved in mining operations in Ethiopia, where the company has expressed its commitment to continue investment in Ethiopia.
Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Israel, Reta Alemu, described Israeli mining companies’ presence in Ethiopia as encouraging and mentioned that private sector’s involvement can assist enhance Ethiopia’s and Israel’s long-standing connections. Takele Uma has also highlighted the importance of private investment at this period of uncertainty.
