According to the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure, a total of 143,295 houses are under construction in Addis Ababa under the 40/60 and 20/80 housing development programs to address the current housing problem.
Out of the 143,295 houses, 101,594 are under the 20/80 housing plan, while the 41,261 are under 40/60. The building process for 20/80 has reached 98.86%, and 92.24% for 40/60 houses. It is planned to be completely by March 2022.
