Following the fact that East Steel Plc, the Chinese firm that purchased Edna Mall from CBE in July 2021, was unable to receive the property because the tenants failed to meet the first eviction deadline set for early November, CBE notified the tenants of Edna Mall of a new eviction deadline – one month from December 07, 2021, The Reporter wrote.

It’s is still unclear what will happen to some of the former owner’s businesses like the game zone and cinemas, which has been closed for months now. Tenants, however, are likely to continue their business there even if they are forced to evacuate first, as CBE has the responsibility to hand over the building.
