Orbit Innovation Hub (OIH), a digital startup incubator/accelerator hub that helps startup companies in the digital sector develop their business from stage of ideation to the product launch stage in partnership with Mastercard Foundation has successfully graduates ten digital startups at a graduation ceremony happened earlier today at Saro Maria Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The four-month incubation program provides a range of support for startups, including training, expert consultation, legal and administrative support, mentorship, and coaching on technical and soft skills.
Orbit Innovation Hub (OIH) is a startup hub that incubates and accelerates digital innovations with an inclination towards healthcare by leveraging a global network of experienced professionals, investors, partners, and industry leaders.
OIH is currently partnering with Mastercard Foundation to incubate 15 startups for its pilot program. The program has graduated and is supporting 5 startups in the first cohort and is now graduating 10 startups in its second cohort.
The second cohort that graduated today includes; Blue Health (a digital emergency care providing company), TechMed (a home care company designed for in-person and digital based service provision), Lelije (a virtual platform for maternal and children care information), Medstore.et (a digital marketplace for medical equipment), Adey Rooms (an online room booking company), Veredna (a digital real estate marketplace for small and medium sized enterprises and homeowners), Way (a technology company that provides map and root planning services to businesses), Shemach (a last-mile delivery platform for small retailers), Mn ale Addis (an event booking and data analytics company for organizers and attendees), and BizOne (an ERP solution vender for small and medium sized enterprises).
The first cohort includes five startups, Medket, Tena, Gebeta, Temaribet, and New Era Research and development, graduated in July 2021.
