Safaricom Ethiopia has extended its large-scale customer pilot to the cities of Bishoftu, Mojo, and Debre Birhan on September 17, 2022. The latest round of customer trials brings the total number of cities testing Safaricom Ethiopia’s network to eight, following three weeks of phased city-by-city customer pilots in Dire Dawa, Harar, Haramaya, Bahir Dar, and Adama.

According to the statement, branded shops can be found in Bishoftu (next to the Oda Nebe Hotel and in front of the municipality), Mojo (in the Menaharia area), and Debre Birhan (around the NOC fuel station just below the Zera’a Yacob roundabout).

Customers in the three cities can also access customer care services from the call center by dialing 700 and speaking to customer experience agents in their preferred language (Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Af-Somali, Tigrigna, and English).

The customer pilots in Bishoftu, Mojo, and Debre Birhan cities are part of our long-term commitment to transforming lives for a digital future in line with the Digital Ethiopia objectives, which include launching the Safaricom network and services in 25 cities by April 2023.
