The Mayor’s Office said that the Addis Ababa City Administration has extended the three-month restriction from raising rent and eviction, considering the current living situation.

It is part of the local administration’s efforts to relieve the capital’s population of the inflationary burden. The new legislation, which was first introduced in August 2021, forbids any increase in rents and eviction for 90 days.
