The GIZ-organized Agro-Business Ideas Competition 2022, in collaboration with Iceaddis, the Ministry of Labour and Skills, and the Mastercard Foundation, awarded each of the five competition winners 230 thousand birr in grant money.
It was noted that the graduate entrepreneurs from Ethiopian universities were given training, incubation, coaching, prototyping, and pitching support in order to prepare them for the national Agro business competition, and grant money will help them build their startup company.
On March 17, 2022, each team presented their unique ideas at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa. The ABIC 2022 winners were determined after a difficult and exciting battle. Each winning team got a cash reward of 230,000 birr as well as a six-month accelerated program. It is also said all the ideas emphasize environmental protection by employing environmentally friendly production and distribution methods.
