The Great Ethiopian Homecoming Challenge called one million Diasporas to the Motherland Ethiopia for this year’s Christmas. Following the call Tourism Ethiopia announced up to 30% discount on flight tickets, accommodation, land transport, and guiding.
Tourism Ethiopia further suggested tour destination including Addis Ababa City Tour, Explore Wonchi and Gurage, Bahir Dar, Gondar and Gorgora, Dire Dawa and Harar, Arba Minch, Turmi and Jinka, Jimma and Bonga, Bale Mountains, Lake Bishoftu and Hawassa, and many more.
Ethiopian Airlines has also announced a 30 percent discount from January 1 to January 31 for one million Ethiopian Diasporas invited to attend this year’s Christmas.
Ethiopia is the latest destination to be awarded the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Safe Travels Stamp – the world’s first-ever global safety and hygiene stamp to ensure safety for residents, travelers, and workers and businesses in the tourism value chain, as Ethiopia reopened its borders to international visitors.
