The Ministry of Industry announced that it has prepared a budget of 200 million USD for small and medium enterprises to be implemented over the next three years. The budget is designed to benefit the manufacturing companies through machine leasing, operation and business development services.
The loan will be made available to development banks, commercial banks and microfinance institutions and will help revitalize the sector affected by the cholera virus and create market linkages. It is said that the small and medium enterprise finance project being implemented in Ethiopia is in collaboration with the Development Bank and is expected to address the sector’s financial needs.
