It’s all over from Eugene, Oregon. Ethiopia finished second in the World Athletics Championships after ten days of competition, earning the majority of its medals in long-distance running events, including gold medals in the men’s and women’s marathons.

Ethiopia finished with the same number of medals as Kenya and Jamaica, but the four gold medals put them ahead of Kenya and Jamaica, both of which had two gold medals.

Ethiopia won four gold medals, four silver medals, and two bronze medals in the competition. Ethiopia allocated its gold medals across four events: men’s and women’s marathons, 10,000m, and 5,000m for women. Ethiopia has entered 40 athletes to the competition and Ethiopian women runners bring home more medals, 7.
